2004 HMI Customer Open House & Exposition
On August 23rd and 24th HMI hosted its 2nd Annual Customer Open House and Exposition. Technical exhibits and a technical session at HMI created the framework for several possible business and technical initiatives. At HMI, Grant Bauserman, spoke on the challenges in the aerospace market.

as first Site to Achieve ACE Gold
The President of Pratt & Whitney, Louis Chenevert, visited HMI on January 21st 2004 in celebration of HMI becoming the first Pratt site to achieve ACE Gold status, the highest level of recognition in Pratt & Whitney’s Continuous Improvement Program known as Achieving Competitive Excellence.

HMI was visited by Congressman Sherwood Boehlert and Michael J. McCulley, President and CEO of United Space Alliance and former NASA Astronaut. They toured the facility and presented HMI with the “Space Shuttle Recognition Award.”
